I finally got around to assembling this. As mentioned by another reviewer the included instruction was somewhat difficult to follow. Luckily there's a video on how to assemble it on the website so made install a cinch. Parts are solid and I imagine it will last a long time. I do get a wobble and bounce when the car is motion. The included pin doesn't seem safe to leave on overnight. There no information on the size of the pin that goes into the tow hitch. I purchased a 5/8" pin and it's too large. A 1/2" may be too big either based on my measurement. I'll need to try a few to get the right fit.
We purchased this bike rack to carry our e-bikes. We needed a rack that would raise the bikes high enough to provide clearance on the back of our RV. This one does. The shaft that goes into the receiver is solid steel. All the parts are well constructed.
I was able to assemble the rack without too much difficulty by following the included instructions.
We are confident that this rack will transport our bikes safely for a long time. This rack is worth the modest price.
Nice solid bike carrier at a good price. I found the carrier easy to assemble and it supports the bikes very well.
I bought this particular mount after reading previous good reviews and because I did not want my bike hanging on a tube like mount. I assembled and mounted the unit to my van without any problems, I like the fact that it is also expandable to 4 bikes if needed later. I like the steel heavy duty construction. I rated this unit 4 stars simply for the fact I did not like the long screw bolt you had to snug up to the hitch instead of inserting a locking hitch pin that I always use. So, the only way to secure it is with a tiny lock thru the cotter pin hole. But, for the money, it is well built and what I was looking for.
My wife and I just got into biking and this is our first carrier. Wanted a hitch mount so we can carry with our pickup when we go on vacation. I think we did well on our choice. Like this as you don't have to have an additional add on bar for ladies bikes with the drop bar. Instructions could be a bit better but if you tinker with anything you can certainly figure it out.
I ordered this from amazon,it arrived in three days upon ordering. The parts list and instructions were a little confusing, but it took about 20 minutes to assemble.Folks this is a sturdy carrier,it holds two bikes securely enough to take bikes a very long distance without worring about them getting loose or damaged. Highly recommend this carrier and the price was good for such a well made carrier.
This rack was easy to put together. Was very cheep in price, but is a heavy and solid bike rack. The setup for carying any size bike is very nice. I like how it can be used for two or four bikes. I like my rack
Nicely built rack goes together relatively easy and all parts were there.
Grat Carrier, nice and solid
Recently received the BC-7621 Bike Rack which was fairly easy to assemble. A big plus is the bikes are not hanging and can be secured to the rack safely. It is a bit heavy, however it will no doubt be long lasting. I like the fact it can be used with both 1-1/4" and 2"hitch receivers.
We spent lots of time looking for a bike rack to suit our needs. This one turned out to be perfect! It arrived needing lots of assembly, but once it was put together, and installed on our truck we could see we chose the best one. My favorite feature is the padded bar that separates the two bikes--this keeps the paint on your bike from getting damaged. Good value.
I do not like bicycle carriers where the bikes dangle from a tube and can easily move and rub against each other. This carrier does away with those concerns because the bikes sit on top of the carrier and the wheels are safely secured and will not move. Tghe carrier is sturdily built. I think it is overbuilt, which puts it on the heavier side. However, for the 2 times when you use or remove the carrier, that is ok because the hitch receiver can easily handle the weight. I like this carrier and recommend it.
Great assembly video. Easy to assemble.
My first bike carrier. I have not used it yet, just assembled it last night. It's a very well made product from what I can tell, and I've welded/fabricated by trade. The hardware (nuts and bolts) might leave a little to be desired, but assembly went fairly smooth. The instructions are not great, but well enough I guess. At $120 it is a considerable bargain compared to more popular brands, and from what Ican see the quality is up there too. It's a great design: compact and well thought out. It's heavy...I'd estimate between 40 and 50 pounds, and while most of this weight is in the hitch assembly of the rack (solid 1.25 inch steel here), the rest of the unit is plenty stout too.
I'm giving 4 stars since I haven't used the rack yet, so I cant vouch for its actual functionality, but I think it will work well and last for a long time.
I finished assembling the rack this morning. I loaded the bike and took it on a test drive. Very stable and upon returning home, I checked everything and all was well. Thanks for building a good product. Also, good assembly instructions.6d6
