Although the portable pet home is lightweight, it is made of tough materials. The portable pet kennel is constructed from heavy duty 600 denier polyester with a tough PVC backing for strength, durability and water resistance. Dogs and other pets appreciate the adjustable ventilation on all four sides of the kennel and the screen mesh door that lets them see outside. The sheepskin pad that is included provides added comfort.. Note: This carrier is not recommended for dogs or puppies that like to chew. A hard sided crate is recommended
