Universal telescoping roof rails are an affordable way to carry lumber, ladders, or other cargo on the roof of your vehicle. Each bar style roof rail uses straps designed to attach with a gator clip inside the vehicle. The telescoping bars expand from 44" to 60", giving you extra room when you need it. These car top carriers have a durable steel construction, and are painted with a black and gray textured finish. To prevent scratching and snagging, the roof rails feature rubber end caps and non-mar rubber feet. Universal roof rails will work with almost any 4-door vehicle, including cars, SUVs, and trucks. Not recommended for 2-door cars because the bars cannot be spaced far enough apart. A non-telescoping version is also available.

4 Stars Portable adjustable roof rack

bob from WA wrote (July 29, 2015):

This fit on my 2013 Prius and seems to be pretty stout. I mounted my Thule Cargo box to it...No whistle sounds at high speed and no vibration noted.

1 Star I bet these would've been awesome!

Unhappy from IN wrote (July 27, 2015):

Ordered and was sent email confirmation. Anxiously awaited their delivery. When that did not happen, I called to check on the status of the order and was told they were back ordered. I guess Discount Ramps thought I would eventually figure it out, and save themselves the hassle of sending a simple email to let me know. Horrible customer service.

4 Stars cross bars

Jean from SC wrote (July 26, 2015):

I ordered these and they came very quickly. They are very sturdy and were very easy to assemble. The only problem I had was that the rubber pads that protect the car would not stay on. I had the bright idea to glue them on so I did using crazy glue. Worked for me! I haven't used it yet but will use it to carry my kayak. Cant wait..................

3 Stars Good rack for most but not all cars

Sluggo from WA wrote (June 20, 2015):

This is a quality product, but it didn't work for me. My car has the annoying automatic seatbelts, so the straps stop the belts. Getting in and out of the car is kind of important. To get out, I have to unattached the seatbelt from the part that moves, then loosen the strap that holds the rack on, open the door, and let the little metal piece go by. Reverse that to get in, close the door, let the piece go by, reattach the seatbelt, tighten up the strap. Not horrible, but not great either.

5 Stars Easy and Inexpensive!

Love these roof racks! I am using them on my little Toyota Corolla to carry my 50lb kayak-- works like a dream. So easy to use, and can't beat the price.

5 Stars sturdy telescoping roof rack

Jim from PA wrote (March 30, 2015):

sturdy, simple in design(kiss), easy to assemble. relatively easy to adapt for kayak carrying. straps go through door jams, not clip on jams or edges. replaced plastic feet covers with thicker more cushioning pads.

5 Stars Easy to assembly and great to use

DONALD from PA wrote (March 13, 2015):

The assemby is very easy. The straps that totall encompass the roof prevent any misadventures with the carriers coming loose of the roof and seperating from the car. Well made and every thing fits together easily

5 Stars Great Inexpensive Roof Rack

Diane from WA wrote (January 24, 2015):

Fast delivery, sturdy. Good price for product. Only drawback is rain water enters in through straps on rainy days.
