This heavy-duty, universal Haramar lift is designed to help you transport scooters weighing up to 400 lbs with a wheelbase up to 42" long. The aluminum deck, measuring 27-1/2" wide by 39" long, includes a cradle that adjusts to fit the rear wheels of the scooter. The 84-lb lift mounts onto class II or III hitch receivers at a height of 5" to 18". To use the fully-powered lift, simply drive your scooter onto the platform, and the automatic hold-down foot and rear wheel cradle will secure it in place without the need for tie-down straps. When you drive your scooter off the platform, it automatically folds up and out of the way against the back of your vehicle. In the event of an emergency power failure, the lift features a manual crank for raising and lowering the platform. When using hitch-mounted products, the license plates are usually blocked from view. A built-in mount was designed to attach license plates and make it visible to other drivers. The Harmar lift is proudly made in the USA and comes with a transferable three-year warranty.

5 Stars Wonderful lift & wonderful company!

Merv from SC wrote (February 04, 2017):

If you want the very best in mobility scooter lifts, THIS IS IT! Just insert your key, push the switch, and the lift lowers. Drive your scooter on and activate the switch and the lift raises to the top. Then, the arm comes down and holds the scooter firmly in place. No need for ratchet straps or any other tethers! To lower, simply push the switch down and the whole procedure reverses! Then, just drive off. When you take the key out (a terrific safety feature) the whole lift raises up and folds to the rear of your vehicle. WOW! I can be independent again, go nearly anyplace, unload and reload my scooter--ALL BY MYSELF! AND EASILY! I haven't yet taken long trips, but around town, so far, it's a "piece of cake!" I plan to update this review at some appropriate time in the future. In the meantime, forget the Tilt-a-Ramp and buy the Harmar! I can't stress enough how much I appreciate how it makes my life better, and what a reputable and respectable company is Discount Ramps!
