The fully powered scooter lift attaches to Class II or III hitch receivers at a height ranging from 5" - 8". An automatic hold down foot keeps cargo in place and prevents theft when not in use.
The AL100HD is a heavy duty lift for scooters up to 400 lbs and a wheelbase of up to 42". The aluminum deck, measuring 27-1/2" x 39", comes with a cradle that adjusts to the rear wheels of the scooter. The 84 lb lift plugs into Class II or III hitch receivers that should be at a height of 5" or up to 18". If the hitch is too low, the back end of the scooter carrier can scrape the ground when pulling into elevated drives. If the hitch is too high, the lift may not reach the ground when fully lowered. In the event of a power failure, a manual crank is included as a back-up for raising and lowering the lift. Once secured and in the up position, an automatic foot comes down and holds the scooter to the aluminum deck. When using hitch-mounted products, the license plates are usually blocked from view. A built-in mount was designed to attach license plates and make it visible to other drivers. When the lift is not in use, the platform folds up toward the vehicle, making it easier to park and maneuver. The Harmar lift is proudly made in the USA and comes with a transferable 3 year warranty.
