On the bottom of the speed bump are dual channels to protect cables and hoses. Embedded on each side of the speed bump are four reflective beads and four yellow EPDM rubber strips to enhance visibility at night. These modular speed bumps can be placed temporarily or installed permanently on asphalt or concrete surfaces with its countersink mounting holes (hardware not included). Modular end sections (sold individually) can be attached to the middle section for a complete circular, smooth transition. I wanted a flexible bump that was able to be attached to my asphalt driveway, and be readily visible day or night to lessen it being a tripping hazard. It had to also divert surface runoff to a culvert. The dimensions had to provide a gentle bump to vehicles, but still be noticeable inside the vehicles. It also had to provide at least one channel on the bottom to cover a garden hose without restricting water flowing through it. And, it had to be durable, attractive, and of moderate cost. This product does it all. I'm very pleased with it.
