These portable yard ramps are ideal for allowing forklift traffic into a semi-truck trailer when a dock is not available when loading or unloading cargo. Multi-purpose use can also be used for rail-cars and docks. Double-action hydraulic pump makes raising and lowering the ramp easy. Steel construction is built to last and serrated grating surface self cleans requiring little to no maintenance.
Provide safe forklift access into a trailer, rail-car or dock with a Yard Ramp! Variety of lengths, widths and weight capacities ranging from 16,000 to 30,000 lbs available to accommodate your loading application needs (call for custom designs). Easily raise the ramp to the appropriate height with the double-action hydraulic pump and safely lower the ramp by opening the release valve. The double-action hydraulic pump is installed internally to prevent accidental damage. Durable 18" rubber tires will not blow out when in use (optional standard pneumatic tires are available upon request) and makes positioning the ramp easy! Standard 30 and 36 foot length yard ramps can be purchased without tires for stationary use. 60" Diamond plated approach creates a smooth and effortless transition onto the ramp. The rest of the ramp surface features serrated steel grating for maximum traction while allowing debris, snow, dirt and other outdoor elements to fall through, preventing build-up. 8" Raised steel girders help keep the forklift on the ramp. A Safety Chain is attached to securely hold the ramp to the trailer or dock.
Optional accessories are available for additional versatility! A tow bar is available that attaches to the front of the ramp allowing the ramp to be safely towed with a fork lift. If you are not interested in the tow bar, the Ramp Clamp allows the forklift operator to maneuver the ramp using the fork lift tines. The fork lift tine slides into a swiveling lift loop which is secured by a locking device. The fork lift operator can now push the yard ramp into position.
Custom yard ramps can be ordered for special applications. Please call for details.

Warning and Usage Guidelines
**Please Note: Make sure that the truck and trailer you are going to use your yard ramp on is stopped and the wheels are chocked before attaching the ramp.**
What type of yard ramps will I need?
When choosing what type of yard ramp you will need you must know the combined weight of your heaviest forklift and the heaviest weight of any load it will carry. This will determine what weight capacity you will need. You will also want to know the width of the widest equipment that will be used on the ramp; the ramp should be 15" wider then the width of that equipment. If you plan on using the yard ramp for rail-car use make sure that the ramp is wide enough to prevent the forklift from hitting the ramp curbs when it turns into the rail-car. Also measure the rail-car door openings to make sure the yard ramp will fit.
There are two lengths available, 30' long straight ramps which are typically used for ground to dock loading and unloading, and a 36' long level off ramps which have a 30' ramp with a 6' level off. The level off design adds greater maneuverability for forklifts in any loading and unloading situation. The level off can allow for better pallet handling next to the door opening of a trailer or a rail-car. Choose a level off design yard ramp when end-loading is common.
