Yakima Mako Saddles offer everything you need to safely transport your kayak on the roof of your vehicle. The form fitting cradles work with any rigid hull shape and feature Dynaflex™ grips for a snug hold to your boat when the straps are tightened. These kayak saddles include a heavy duty strap with a padded buckle to protect your boat and your vehicle along with a bow/stern tie down. Mako Saddles fit round or square crossbars, but may be used with factory racks with the use of Mighty Mounts (sold separately). The saddles are sold in a set of two. This gives you the option to use HullyRollers kayak loaders along with them for easier loading, or you may purchase another set of Mako Saddles to carry one boat. (Two pairs of Mako Saddles or a pair of Mako Saddles and a pair of HullyRollers are required to carry one boat.) Yakima Mako Saddles include a limited lifetime warranty.
