The SaltDogg 2 Cubic Yard Electric Poly Hopper Spreader with an Extended Chute gives contractors and property owners a spreader that combines volume with size convenience. Electric power means quieter operation with no need for refueling or engine servicing. Manufactured from tough poly, the hopper has a patented double-wall construction. Its fits comfortably in the back of a one-ton pickup truck with a minimum 6' bed and can accommodate bulk salt, or a 50/50 salt/sand mix. Forklift slots provide easy mounting at the start of the season, and this spreader comes with a top screen, fitted tarp, tie-downs and a remote auger bearing grease kit.

The spreader has a 2-1/2" stainless steel auger and trough with a 200-pound capacity vibrator to keep material flowing. The extended-length chute is a good choice for trucks that are higher off the ground, as it allows the material to get spread 12 inches closer to the road for less waste and better ground coverage. The auger automatically reverses when it encounters a jam to clear the clog and restore flow, which is powered by an independent 1/2 HP, 12V gear motor. The 14" poly spinner can cast material in a 5 to 30-foot radius, powered by an independent 1/4 HP, 12V gear motor. The vibrator and independent auger and spinner speeds are controlled by a closed-loop in-cab controller.
