The SaltDogg 4.4 Cubic Foot Salt Tailgate Spreader is a simple and effective tool for residential spreading of #1 free flowing rock salt. With its compact size, hitch mount design, and auxiliary power plug adapter, this spreader can mount to an SUV or a half-ton, three-quarter ton or one-ton truck. The poly hopper is housed in a carbon steel frame that is powder-coated for optimum corrosion-resistance. The hitch mount is compatible with 1-1/4" or 2" Class III or IV receivers and can fold away for easy tailgate access. The gravity-fed spreader has a manual open/close gate and a 9" poly spinner that can cast up to 14'. Its powered by a 1/8 HP, 12V motor that is connected by an auxiliary plug with a manual on/off switch.
