Shore Docks & Piers
Create your own marine getaway with PWC and boat docks and piers. Designed for quick and easy launching, our selection of docks work best with gradually sloping shorelines and come with or without wheels for easier placement. Our personal watercraft docks will be just the ticket for launching or storing your jet-ski or similar PWC right along your shoreline - no monthly docking fees required!
Difference Between Stationary and Rolling Docks
Roll-in docks are ideal for bodies of water with seasonal water levels, such as reservoir lakes, as well as regions that drop below freezing in the winter as they can be moved in or out of the water accordingly. Docks without wheels are better suited for milder climates and bodies of water that stay consistent year-round. Generally dock wheels will have holes to allow them to fill up with water and stay weighed down while in use.
Types of Dock Decks
Dock decks can be manufactured with a variety of materials, and each one has its own particular attributes:
- Polypropylene is maintenance-free and stays cool in hot weather
- Red cedar is impervious to rotting, mildew and insects, and is sometimes available unfinished so you can choose whether or not to stain it the color of your choice. Kiln-dried cedar is drier than naturally-dried cedar to prevent warping over time.
- Powder-coated aluminum is very low-maintenance and will never rust or corrode; the powder-coat is generally available in several color options.
