5 Stars Great value & well written instructions and advice

Mike from MN wrote (July 21, 2016):

Looking forward to car-topping my Lifetime 10" fisher kayak. I will be adding a couple ratchet straps for over the top of the kayak and thru the doors also for added safety. Plus of course tying down the bow and stern to secure spots. Looks like I will be going with "quick loops" (ck ebay) as my golf doesn't have anyplace to tie to under the bumpers. Always best to be safe than sorry and not lose something on top of your vehicle at hwy speeds. I did my homework and this by far was the best value for lighter loads.

5 Stars Nice Product!

Patrick from SC wrote (March 17, 2016):

This is a great and affordable way for my wife to carry a ladder up top instead of in the car. Great customer service, fast shipping. Thanks.

4 Stars Well made easy to install.

Paul from OH wrote (February 05, 2016):

Nice product, good price but nuts ands washers were missing. Luckily I had parts that would fit.

4 Stars Great Light Weight Racks

Ken from FL wrote (November 20, 2015):

I bought it to haul kayaks. Works fine for that. I don't think that i"d put the 150 lbs. on it that it is rated for. I used "swim noodles" to cushion the bars. For large loads, you might want to get ratcheting straps. My kayaks weigh about 90 lbs. No problems with them with stock straps. A good Universal Rack for the price.

Purchased this item through Ebay at a very reasonable price. Item arrived before specified ETA in mint condition. All in all, it is very easy to purchase items from this seller and description is thorough. Will definitely follow this seller on Ebay. It is to be noted that I reside in Canada however I have entered Virginia as my State in order to have a chance at winning an iPad mini as indicated on the flyer included with the item. May I suggest that you add Canada to your State list? Thank you.

5 Stars 4460U Telsscoping Roof Cargo Bars

Bob from NY wrote (August 13, 2015):

Love it - what you see is what you get; no frills but it does the job when called for. Think how many A&W Root Beers I can buy with my savings over the higher priced selections!

4 Stars functions good and priced right

mike from FL wrote (August 10, 2015):

works well, only thing I wish was that the rubber foot pads attached more securely, but I just glued them on.

4 Stars Serves the Purpose

John from MS wrote (August 10, 2015):

This worked fine for my purpose, which was to transport a bed headboard. I would prefer ratchet tie-downs, because I couldn't get the straps tight enough with the alligator clips. And the rubber bottoms slide too much, but I glued shelf liner to the bottoms and that worked better. It sure beats buying a $40,000 pick-up!

5 Stars Worked great!!!

andrea from TN wrote (August 04, 2015):

We were traveling from AZ to TN...over 1,500 miles. These worked great!! Super thankful we were able to attach this to my Mazda, then strap a rooftop carrier bag to the top and have the extra storage.

5 Stars Great Universal Roof carrier

Bassem from MI wrote (July 30, 2015):

I could not find cross bars to fit into my existing factory roof mounts at a reasonable cost. I needed cross bars to attach kayak holders. This is a great buy for a basic roof carrier. It is easy to mount and universal to fit on different vehicles.

5 Stars Great Price, works exactly as expected

Cayson from WA wrote (July 21, 2015):

Got this as extra storage on my Ford Focus, works great! Able to put almost everything we needed on top of the car instead of cramming everyone and thing into the car. Only dowsidw is the strap, will need to be replaced before too long.

5 Stars Roof Bars, 2009 Kia Spectra

Colin from NV wrote (July 11, 2015):

After looking at other roof bar systems that cost in upwards of $200 or more, I thought there would have to be a better alternative. I found these roof bars via Amazon for around $45. To say the least, these roof bars do their job flawlessly. The bars adjusted easily to my KIa, and were simple to install. The best part is they transport my SUP all around Lake Tahoe. I take trips less than an hour, but the bars and the paddle board stay in place, what more could I ask for?

5 Stars Roof top carrier for my Old Town Canoe:

Carl Moody from SC wrote (June 10, 2015):

I purchased this carrier so would not have to pull a trailer for my canoe. I was hesitant at first, but once the product arrived, and I fitted it to the car top I was absolutely delighted. This company DiscountRamps.com is a real pleasure to deal with. From the ordering to the actual receipt of the product it could not have been any more simple. Carl Moody in S.C.

4 Stars Satisfactory product

Pete from NY wrote (May 07, 2015):

Bought this rack so I could transport my 15 ft. kayak on my Honda Accord. The crossbars are substantial. As mentioned in another review, the rubber pads on the mounting brackets work but could use so improvement. The straps are OK for now but are a bit thin so I will probably replace them at the end of the season. Overall, this product is what I expected, an economical alternative to much higher prices systems. I will use this system in combination with foam blocks that fit the rails.

5 Stars Universal Strap Attached Car Top Carrier

Ron from OK wrote (April 27, 2015):

Ordered this item and the T-Rack kayak carriers for my 2012 Ford Escape. The items ordered are exactly what I need to carry my kayaks at a much, much cheaper price. However the materials and the items are not cheaply made. They met all expectations. The one exception are the feet that hold the bars onto which the kayak carriers are attached. I spot super glued the bottom part of the feet to the top part. Hopefully these will last as long as the other items. Will see, but I honestly think they will do the job perfectly.

5 Stars Universal Roof Bars

Sam Chapman from UT wrote (April 04, 2015):

I bought this for my Toyota Camry and it is a great item for a very decent price. I love it and its pretty simple to put together. The ONLY thing I have been upset with this roof rack is that when I bought it it came with one short bolt. Other than that I've had no problems with anything.

5 Stars Universal Roof Cargo Bars

5 Stars Shipping and Customer Service was Exceptional!

Rebecca Lewicki from NY wrote (September 22, 2014):

I bought this product to move across the country on a budget. I only had the space inside my car to move and I needed an inexpensive way to gain extra space. I didn't have the money for the roof racks designed for my car and these provided me with an excellent alternative. I was able to buy an inexpensive cargo container and strap it onto these racks. When I called Discount Ramps to place the order the man I spoke with was absolutely perfect in all aspects. He was kind, patient, experienced, capable, and competent to complete his job and answering all of my questions. Not only is the company easy to work with and professional, so were their employees and products. I recommend this product and company for anyone looking for an inexpensive, hassle free way to gain extra space.

4 Stars positive

william cramer from SC wrote (September 18, 2014):

I read the reviews of the product before I bought it, and it appeared to be what I needed. the only concerns listed by other reviews were about the rubber pads needing to be glued on, and the claps possibly eventually tearing through the strap. i won't be using it that much, so I don't expect any problems.

4 Stars Functional and Secure as Advertised

Tom from MA wrote (May 07, 2014):

Assembly is a little tricky and the round bars make attaching racks such as the J or Thule a little tricky but once assembled with racks, very easy on and off and very secure. Carried 2 kyacks on highway speeds and no issues. Non marking. However, make sure you research where to place them on the roof. That is important and determines ultimate success of the racks. Have used 3 times and looking forward to the summer.
