Review Summary (Based on 4 Reviews)

4 Stars Minor damage in transit

PJ from TN wrote (July 23, 2016):

The kayak J-rack appears to do exactly what is intended--carrying a kayak on a roof rack. Only complaint is that one of the kayak pads on one rack was delivered with a split at one end. Should be able to replace.

5 Stars Easy to load

Gene from NY wrote (June 22, 2015):

I ordered the Apex rack for a new kayak I purchased online and it was delivered ahead of schedule. I am pleased with the overall quality and ease of loading the kayak. I also like the slots for the strap because they keep the strap in place not like some other brands. This is a quality product for the price.

5 Stars Heavy Steel

David from FL wrote (December 27, 2014):

These "J" racks are built tough, solid steel, you could drive over them, they are that solid and at the exact location of contact with the kayaks just enough dense foam. Get these, forget the aluminum tube types.

4 Stars Apex J-Rack for Kayak

Scott from CA wrote (May 15, 2014):

Very good product for the price point. Both of my kayaks set directly in the cradles and cinch down quickly with the tie-off points. If you are intent on keeping these racks attached to your roof, and the boats in the rack toss the supplied nuts and bolts for better quality American made carriage bolts with nyloc nuts and star washers. Nuts and bolts are the only thing that keeps this from being a 5-star product..
