More Information

Hitch-mounted carriers are perfect for hauling your motorcycle, wheelchair, or other cargo without using a trailer, but when not in use, the platform extending from the back of your vehicle can make it difficult to park in a garage or other confined spaces. Rather than struggle with removing your carrier constantly, install the Folding Hitch Adapter.

A DiscountRamps.com exclusive, the Folding Hitch Adapter allows you to easily fold up your hitch-mounted carrier when not in use. The 500-lb capacity trailer hitch adapter simply installs between your hitch and carrier bar. The folding shank can hold your motorcycle or cargo carrier horizontally when it is in use or vertically against the vehicle when it is not. The included anti-wobble pivot bolt and jam nut secure the carrier in place to eliminate wobble. Includes all hardware necessary for installation.

To determine if the Folding Hitch Adapter will work with your hitch-mounted carrier measure the distance between the end of the hitch tube and the hitch pin hole. The hitch pin hole must be no closer than 2-1/2" from the end of the hitch and no further than 3". Works With: Aluminum Motorcycle Carrier (AMC-400), Black Widow Steel Motorcycle Carrier (MCC-500), Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier (CC-4820-DLX and CC-6020-DLX) and Hitch Mounted Step Bar (HS-2). US Patent #9663039.
