The UTW portable rear door van ramp is the perfect solution for someone who needs to load their wheelchair or scooter in the rear door or hatch of a van or sport utility vehicle and does not want a permanently attached ramp or lift.

This ramp has an innovative extended hook that allows you to clear the bumper and rear door seal on your vehicle for rear door entry, but still operates like a standard multifold ramp. It works for side doors, steps, and porches as well. These ramps operate in the same fashion as our popular multifold portable wheelchair ramps. The UTW ramp has a center joint design that eliminates pinch points and adds strength to the highest stress area of the ramp.

These ramps have an all aluminum construction with a high traction tape on the surface. The UTW series portable wheelchair ramps are available in 6', 7', 8', and 10' lengths. These utility wheelchair ramps have been re-designed to separate into two pieces for lighter weight and easy carrying and include a lifetime warranty.

5 Stars Well built product

Frank from FL wrote (February 18, 2017):

I bought the ramps to be able to load my scooter into my SUV without taking it apart. The reason I bought the UTW630 was their weight. I am 83 years old and can't lift much weight any longer. The chart that you use to determine the slope said I needed 10' ramps but they weighed 63lbs and were 62" folded. I bought the 6' I figured my scooter only weighs 78lbs so I should be able to make it work. The first problem I had was I could not separate them. The pins that hold them together had threads exposed and I had to use a screwdriver to separate them. In doing so I scratched the side of one ramp making it unreturnable. I fixed the pin problem and then was able lift the ramps up on the back of my SUV. I then went to back my scooter up the ramp but the little wheels that are on the bottom rear of the scooter lifted the drive wheel off the ground. I had a 4' length of plywood and used that to make the angle smaller. I did get the scooter in and out fairly easy after that. The ramps are good quality and well made.
