More Information

The Race Ramps™ tow truck flatbed extension ramps are designed to get vehicles with low ground clearance on and off of flatbed tow trucks. These tow truck ramps reduce the angle of approach to 5.2 degrees, so low profile vehicles can be loaded and unloaded without damaging air dams, bumper covers, and the underside of the vehicle. Race Ramps™ tow truck extension ramps feature a 1" notch for the flatbed to rest on while loading. Great for operators that want to maintain a professional appearance and instill customer confidence while loading their car. Tow truck flatbed extension ramps are constructed of solid material to ensure that ramps are highly durable, stable, and won't scoot or slide. These ramps have the ability to support a 5,000 lb. per axle and feature a textured coating to prevent sliding. Each ramp is made up of two interlocking sections, designed to fit into 48" tool boxes, and feature built-in carrying straps for convenient transport.

US Patent #D593,724, #2514806, #RE41,581.

These ramps are constructed using an exclusive, patent process. They are 100% solid, high-density foam with a rugged anti-slip coating that results in a lightweight ramp solution that is strong yet durable. The ramp will not slide, scratch, or otherwise damage any floor type. The reinforced bottom allows the ramp to be used on gravel or other rough surfaces that you may encounter along the side of the road.

Usage Guidelines
Before using the ramps ensure other persons are clear of the vehicle and the ramps. Ensure that the ramps are free from damage or corrosion before use. Use only a single pair of wheel ramps at the front or rear, do not use two ramps on one side of the vehicle. Position the ramps in line with the wheels, with the steering wheel pointed straight and the incline against the tire tread. Carefully drive the vehicle onto the automotive ramps until it is in the correct position. Turn the engine off, apply the parking brake, get out of the vehicle and securely chock the remaining wheels on the ground. Before starting work, walk around the vehicle ensuring it is securely positioned. Always use jack stand if a person will be going under the vehicle. On completion of the work, check the parking brake is still firmly on and remove the chocks. It is important to drive very slowly when coming off the ramps to prevent the automotive bodywork from making contact with the car ramp. Exercise caution when using these car ramps with a trailer or three wheeled vehicle.
