Elevate Outdoor Steel Basket Cargo Carrier with 2- or 4-Bike Rack

This Elevate Outdoor Cargo Carrier comes with a 2-bike or 4-bike rack option so that you no longer have to choose between bikes or items - you can transport them all at once! Manufactured from powder-coated steel, this carrier has a 400-pound weight capacity and 80-pound bike weight capacity when the 2-bike rack version is used, and a 300-pound weight capacity and 120-pound bike weight capacity when the 4-bike rack version is used. The bike rack arm can be removed entirely or rotated 90 degrees and installed horizontally if you aren't transporting your bikes or want to store the carrier compactly. When the bike rack arm is removed or installed horizontally, the carrier can be folded up to reduce your vehicle's footprint. Rubber cradles on the bike rack attachment securely hold bikes without scratching the frames. If you want to transport three or four bikes, simply choose the 4-bike rack option and install the additional connector piece as shown in the instructions.

Formerly Apex. Please note, hitch-mounted bike carriers are not recommended for use on tow-behind trailers including 5th wheel and camping trailers, motor-homes or RVs. Never exceed the lowest maximum rating of either of these two: vehicle's tongue weight and vehicle's trailer hitch tongue weight. Be aware that your hauling weight may be limited by your vehicle's suspension. Some vehicles may require air shocks or heavier springs to stiffen up the suspension and prevent sagging. Carriers are not recommended for hitches less than 12" from the ground to the bottom of the hitch without the use of a riser adapter.
